Where We Come From

Born from the soul of Morocco

Atlas Poufs was founded with a single belief: that truly beautiful objects deserve to travel beyond the souks where they are born and find a home in living rooms around the world.

We work directly with a small collective of artisans in the Guéliz district of Marrakech — families who have practiced the art of leather tanning and hand-stitching for centuries. No factories, no shortcuts.

The Process

How every
pouf is born

    Hide Selection

    Our artisans hand-pick only the finest hides from Moroccan tanneries — full-grain leather with natural character and durability.

    Vegetable Tanning

    Using traditional plant-based tanning methods, the leather is treated to achieve its warm, rich tones without harmful chemicals.

  • 03

    Hand-Cutting & Embossing

    Each panel is precisely cut by hand, then embossed with traditional Moroccan geometric patterns using hand-carved stamps.

  • 04

    Hand-Stitching

    The panels are assembled with waxed linen thread using a double-stitch technique — the same method used for centuries in the Fes medina.

    Quality Check & Dispatch

    Every finished piece is inspected, photographed, and carefully packaged before beginning its journey to your home.
